Multymeter.com – Xiaomi’s electric car has finally been unveiled. Named SU7, this car has quite high specifications and can compete with electric sedans in its class. Smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has applied for a sales licence for its first electric car in China. The document also reveals some of the car’s specifications.
This electric car will be produced under contract by Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation (BAIC), not Xiaomi. This electric car was previously known by the codename MS11 and will be marketed under the name SU7.
Xiaomi SU7 is the first electric car produced by Xiaomi, a Chinese technology company. This car was launched on 17 November 2023 and will go on sale in China in late 2023.
The Xiaomi SU7 has fairly large dimensions, with a length of 4,997 mm, a width of 1,963 mm and a height of 1,455 mm. The wheelbase reaches 3,000 mm, providing ample cabin space.
The car is powered by a single electric motor producing 295 hp and 450 Nm of torque. This motor drives the rear wheels and is capable of accelerating the car from 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds.
Xiaomi SU7 uses a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 71.7 kWh that can cover a distance of up to 530 km on a single charge. The car also supports 800V fast charging, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in 40 minutes.
The interior of the Xiaomi SU7 is designed with a modern and minimalist style. This car is equipped with a 15.6-inch infotainment screen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. This car is also equipped with a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
The safety equipment of the Xiaomi SU7 is quite comprehensive, including ABS, EBD, ESC, TCS and TPMS braking systems. This car is also equipped with advanced driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and blind spot monitoring.
Xiaomi SU7 will be available in three variants: SU7, SU7 Pro and SU7 Max. Prices range from 200,000 yuan (Rs 410 crore) to 250,000 yuan (Rs 525 crore).
