The long awaited reboot of The Crow has finally received very promising news, this film is scheduled to be released in 2024 and Bill Skarsgård will play the lead role.
Lionsgate has bought the domestic rights to the rebooted film The Crow. In addition to starring It actor Bill Skarsgård as the avenging angel, it also stars singer-songwriter and Honeyboy star FKA Twigs.
The highly anticipated Rupert Sanders-directed film will be a reboot of Alex Proyas’ 1994 classic, both based on James O’Barr’s 1989 comic book series of the same name.
A story of rebirth and revenge, The Crow will follow its lead character Eric Draven, a man whose life was unjustly and cruelly taken from him by a group of criminals. A raven saw the man’s lifeless body and resurrected him, giving him the gift of a new life to protect the innocent and exact revenge on those who caused his “death”.
The reboot will feature Bill Skarsgård (IT) as the title character, with Danny Huston (Angel Has Fallen) and FKA Twigs (Honey Boy) at the centre. Oscar nominee Zach Baylin (King Richard) wrote the screenplay for The Crow with Molly Hassell, Victor Hadida, John Jencks and Edward R. Pressman as producers.***
