Let’s Migrate To WordPress, Don’t Be Afraid Of The Number Of Articles, Here’s How To Import Without Restrictions

Multymeter.com – Digital Products : For a blogger, you must be familiar with the blogspot.com and WordPress platforms, these two platforms are idols for channeling hobbies as writers. The advantages and disadvantages of both are certainly there, even though these shortcomings do not significantly hinder performance to be creative with them.

Blogspot is a product from Google, very suitable for those who are new to the world of Blogger, besides being very simple and easy to use, this platform is also free, so for beginners who do not have the funds to buy hosting, and a domain is highly recommended to use blogger.

The WordPress platform has two options, the free version is WordPress. Com, and the paid version is WordPress. Org.Paid because this platform must use hosting and domain TLD (Top Level Domain).

That’s a brief description of the two platforms, then the question is whether those already on blogspot can migrate to WordPress. org? Of course you can. For those who are serious about becoming a blogger, the basic capital is in addition to willingness, which of course is also funds. Many pro bloggers use it, and switch from blogger to wordpress. Besides being more professional, it is also safer than being banned by google if you violate Google rules.

At some point, you might think about migrating from the blogspot platform to the WordPress platform, with the excuse of upgrading. But first you must understand before deciding to migrate to WordPress, so you don’t regret your ignorance, because I don’t discuss it in detail here. ,maybe next time.

Migration from blogspot to WordPress is quite complicated when it comes to styling its appearance, because of the many tools that need to be installed, especially if there are already a large number of articles on a blog, because the process of importing articles through the free version of the plugin is limited to a maximum of 20 articles. That’s why I suggest that if you are determined and have sufficient funds to blog, you should go straight to WordPress, so you don’t have to bother rebuilding your blog.

Before you import articles from Blogger, you have to back up all articles first, just in case something doesn’t happen.

    2. Go to settings :

    Click “Backup Content “

    3. Then just download

    4. If you have finished downloading, before leaving the blog, first copy your blog ID number, which is useful for verifying the article import process later.

    5. Log in to your WordPress account, go to MENU, click Plugins, then click “Add new”

    6. You just need to search in the plugin search column with the keyword: “Blogger Importer”, after downloading, then click active and click run Importer.

On the Importer plugin page you will be provided with a verification column for your blog ID number. As I explained above, the import limit for the free version is only allowed 20 articles, for more than that you can switch to the Blogger Importer PRO plugin, which is definitely paid.

With the limitations of the importer plugin, which can only import as many as 20 articles, you can overcome this by importing the rest of the articles using a PC / Android with a different Google account when LOGIN to your WordPress, As I have done when migrating Blogger with 40 articles, I use two androids with two Google accounts.

At this point the import process has been completed, but your WordPress still has to be reset manually for Descriptions, Categories, Tags, and others.

Of course, we will have difficulty starting to build a blog on the WordPress platform, disassembling the plugin for the blog display tool will not happen on the blogspot platform. I myself almost two weeks to build a blog on WordPress. With determination and patience everything can be resolved. ***
