Multymeter.com – Digital Products : The founder and former CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, the former CEO of Twitter, created a new social media called Bluesky in the midst of Elon Must\’s process of completing the purchase of Twitter. Quoted from Showmetech, Bluesky is a new site that has its own protocol and also for the appearance of personalized ads, Bluesky will not focus on it.
By having its own protocol, Bluesky is planned to be launched in early 2023, so Bluesky users can test the new site created by Jack Dorsey. Quoting from The Independent media, in December 2019 Bluesky was first announced by Jack Dorsey when Silicon Valley was in in the midst of a global backlash against technology or techlash, which at the time was preparing to weather a storm of information and interference ahead of the 2020 United States election democracy party.
The protocol in question is the Authenticated Transfer Protocol or AT Protocol. Currently Bluesky is developing it which will later be used as a new foundation for a social network that will give creators freedom from the platform, developer freedom to build, and user choice in the experience.
While struggling with a dilemma on Twitter that its founders never wanted, they still choose for themselves to manage the speech of hundreds of millions of people without risking going overboard.
As Dorsey once wrote on Twitter, “Centralized enforcement of global policies to tackle misuse and misinformation. It is impossible to improve in the long term without placing too much burden on people.”
The financial incentives faced by social media companies, according to him, are often the cause of focused attention on content and conversations that trigger controversy. It is rather than a conversation that informs and promotes health.
Therefore, Dorsey also said that for a small independent team of up to five software developers to create an open and decentralized standard for social media will be funded by Twitter. The end goal is to move Twitter itself to this standard.
Let’s wait for the launch from Bluesky next year, will it be as successful as its predecessor Twitter which became one of the largest social media in the world? We look forward to its arrival.***
